About Medicine Park
Medicine Park was founded on July 4, 1908 as Oklahoma's first planned resort community. In 1906, Elmer Thomas, the founder of Medicine Park, could see the need for a recreational spot, as well as a water source for the young town of Lawton, Oklahoma. He and a partner aquired some 900 acres of land, the area now known as the cobblestone community of Medicine Park.
Medicine Park has undergone many changes over the years and today is home to about 400 citizens. For more information about Medicine Park, it's history, and what it has to offer, click here.
